Unfortunatly for many MS store users, when Windows does a cummulative update (Patch Tuesday) it often reinstalls Xbox Console Companion. Which the user will then need to go through and uninstall again.

The XCC was a "system app" before windows 10 v1903. So the app is tied to any windows 10 digital signature from before 2019. Even a clean Windows 10 install, the first thing the MS store installs is XCC. You dont even have to sign in with your Live account.

Its going to keep doing this until MS Store takes XCC off the store. Windows 11 has the same issue so far.

Dont friggin install XCC if you dont have it or else you will then be in the same boat with the rest of us.

If someone could get ahold of whoever controls MS store, tell them I will give them 100 dollars to take the XCC permently down. Im serious.

Make sure you uninstall the app "Xbox Console Companion". It is depreceated by the app "Gaming Services".

Gamepass games that save to the cloud absolutely need Gaming Services
